Exercise II: Use the following words in sentences of your own.

1.  Sacrilege:  It is a sacrilege to offend democracy.

2.  Polyglot:

  He made rapid progress because he is a polyglot.

3.  Cynic:

  It is enough to make a cynic of a saint.

4.  Altruist:

  Google has been displaying play-to-playlists, so some believe that their motives are not altruistic.

5.  Curator:

  Like a curator in a museum, we should preserve the natural landscape.

6. Pedestrian:

  Aman was died, and a woman injured when they were crossing the pedestrian crossing.

7.  Fatal:

  A hospital spokesperson said that he had suffered a fatal heart attack.

8.  Itinerant:

  We ended up itinerant, moving from one rented place to another.

9.  Panacea:

  This medicine is not a panacea for all ills.

10.  Truant:

Provision is made for truant and dependent children. 

11.Infallible:

  There is no one on this earth that has a memory that is infallible.

 12.  Linguist:

  He is a good linguist and understands both Hindi and English.

13.  Mercenary:

  Mercenary men lust for wealth.

14.  Platitude:

  Our politicians are slowly running away from old platitudes.

15.  Fastidious:

  There is also a tendency towards fastidious eating habits. 

16. Epitaph:

  One epitaph read “ a just and noble countryman”

17.  Belligerent:

  He is always very belligerent towards me.

18.  Invincible:

  Ancient Indians believed that pomegranate seeds made the warriors invincible.

19.  Plagiarism:

  He is accused of plagiarism.

20.           Connoisseur:

  A true coffee connoisseur never drinks instant coffee.
